Program Mission
To cultivate civic understanding, engagement, and leadership among Manatee County youth through experiential learning and direct interaction with local government.
Purpose:
Learn how county government works
Meet County Commissioners and government professionals
Explore County departments
Participate in workshops and discussions
Develop leadership and public speaking skills
Participate in a mock Board of County Commissioners meeting
Who Can Apply?
Eligibility Requirements:
Completed 10th grade
Manatee County resident
Full-time enrollment in a public, private, or home education program in Manatee County
Attend all required sessions
Submit a complete application
Parent/guardian consent if under 18
